STUARTS DRAFT - A man who struck his sister-in-law with a garden tool last week during a domestic dispute has been charged with felonious assault, the sheriff’s office said.
Robert Brooks, 43, of Mill Creek Lane, is accused of striking the 45-year-old woman with a garden hoe, hitting her in the forearm, the sheriff’s office said. The woman was taken to Augusta Medical Center in Fishersville, where stitches were required to close the wound. The attack occurred May 30. Authorities arrested Brooks on Friday.
He is free on bond.
